Okay, so I had this elaborate and long post, then I accidentally deleted it (don't ask me how, let's just say I'm an idiot)
Holly and I did the hang out thing one last time. She accidentally forgot my copy of Harry Potter so we ended up hanging out at her house. There we watched birds mate and decided to go for a walk.
During our long walk, we went through the woods. With no visible "Trespassers will be shot" signs we assumed we were safe. There was lots of pretty landscape, including places for camp fires, vines, trees, bushes and mud. And when we finally found a road we also encountered a "No Trespassing sign" Oops.
We talked some more and eventually I went home to have some mother-daughter hangout time. There was no hangout time. My mom had a stomach ache. However, as far as I'm concerned, if you can play solitaire on your PDA while watching TV all night, then you can handle Spartanopoly with your daughter. (Just my theory)
So I made myself dinner and loaded up the car, while thinking about all that a person can accomplish while feeling sick. People have won wars while feeling more sick than my mom.
My mom than made up for her yesterday's shortcomings today, when she thanked me for having done all the heavy lifting in the move in process. We then proceeded to have a decent conversation at lunch and she took me shopping at Urban Outfitters (YEAH!!!!!!!!)
It's not that my mom and I have a bad relationship or anything, but I'd like to have a better one...one in which we're very close friends. I guess all I can do is keep trying and waiting. Maybe someday.
Sigh. My distant cousin is feeling lonely and depressed living alone in Owen. I must go and hang out with her instead of enjoying the nice last-night-of-freedom-alone-time I had planned.
Bugger. Bugger. Bugger.
