Called home to leave crazy screaming message of done-ness. Forgot to actually account for time change. My mom picked up the phone. It was 5 AM there. Oops. She was awake and brushing her teeth, so all is well.
Have problem. Sword has arrived early. Parents haven't opened package...but now don't know how to approach situation. If they open it before I get home, then I arrive home to armed parents. If I don't let them open it until I'm there, then I have to deal with initial "You bought WHAT?!" reaction in which they will have a sword in reach.
It's a pickle.
On the plus side, father has already guessed that it's a bow and arrows. The truth shouldn't shock him too much.
