Sleep to Dream

I think I can say that last night I got the worst night's sleep of my short little life.

I went to bed around 10. I finally slept at 1 AM.

At 2 AM I threw off my blankets.

At 3 AM I got up. Drank some water. Opened a window wider, while silently debating whether it was the heat or the noise from the street keeping me up.

At 4 AM I decided it was the noise. The sound of birds chirping "woke" me from a dream in which a space ship captain (very similar to Mal of Firefly) was shooting enemy ships with a ray gun that sounded exactly like birds chirping. It would have been funny if I didn't have a lack-of-sleep headache all day.

At 5 AM I got up and got ready for work. Yep. Not even four hours when I was aiming for seven.

At least I get to sleep in tomorrow. Of course the fact that I still have to work the afternoon to close shift does make me feel a little angsty. That combined with the fact that I'm also working Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday makes me WAY angsty.

I was productive though. I got a hair cut, wrote a chapter for one of my stories during work, read forty pages of a fun book and bought some supplies for India.
