Destroying the Cafe

Yesterday the filtered water sink was dripping.

This morning I went into work and it wasn't working.

This afternoon a man came and repaired it. The handles no longer turned 280 degrees. The faucet did not drip.

An hour later, I broke the hot water handle so it was back to turning 280 degrees. Oops.

At 8:27 PM, 3 minutes before the end of my shift, I decided to tell one of my employee/friends the story of how I broke the sink an hour after it had been repaired.

I twisted the handle high enough so that the hot water wouldn't turn off at all. Big oops.

I called a manager. While he searched for tools, I learned that if I leaned down on the broken handle the water would stop. I leaned casually.

My manager returned with a handful of tools. "Stop that. You look silly."

I backed away and the water level rose in the sink.

My manger used various tools to try to stop the faucet.

I looked at the clock and said, "Well, it's 8:30. I'm should be going. See you tomorrow."

The joy of having no power at a job is that, at the end of the day, you have no responsibility. :)
