Here's some fun Golden Compass nerdiness...
In other news, I spoke with a professor at OSU and she said I'm for sure accepted...there's now craziness in attempting to arrange a living situation. Parents have their heart set on buying a condo, since I'll be there for four to five years. Making a choice is complicated by the fact that my current Pittsburgh apartment is trying to kick me out before I graduate. I'm not sure if a good choice can be made in such a rush, so I'll be going to war with my Pittsburgh housing people over the situation tomorrow.
I stop working at Barnes and Noble in two weeks. I gave my notice last week. The manager pretended to cry. I thought that was a sweet gesture.
What's more, I just found out I'm going to be published in my first non-university journal. I won't say the name yet (nobody will have heard of it), because I'm going to have to make edits to the story still. But I'm very entertained, because the piece is actually a heavily edited version of the very first creative work that I wrote at MSU. I'd set the piece aside for years, assuming it would never appeal to any market. Then several months ago, a professor sent an email about a new journal looking for very specific content that my old piece included.
My thesis is due in eight days and I still have one hundred pages to edit. And I was hoping to do another read through after that.
In general, my head is spinning. Where's the ground? I need something to grab.

If you end up with a tiger and I end up with a ladybug I'm gonna be pissed.

I've been taking my own quiz, and every time I answer, it changes my animal. I haven't figured out what answers cause what animals yet. It gave me a spider once, and I was like, what, am I filled with self-hatred? Because that's what that would mean...
