That's So Gangster
My flight from Pittsburgh to Detroit was peachy. Then, as I took the tram to my gate for my flight to GR, I stupidly thought that traveling (for once) was going without a hitch. I boarded, then had a movie moment. A guy that reminded me of the actor, Vincent Kartheiser, who played Connor on "Angel" got on the plane. And wonder of wonders, he sat next to me. He took out a journal and Gertrude Stein book. We were both silent for a while. Then the girl behind us (whose cell phone had attached itself to her head) exclaimed "That's so gangster!" Both artistic guy and I laughed at her. Thus began a two hour discussion. Why two hours? Because there was a mechanical problem with our plane and we almost didn't get to leave. The worst part was that we were stuck at the gate, where cell phones can be used, so I had to listen to the girl behind us talk non-stop.
Me: How long does it take for a cell phone battery to die?
Artistic Guy: More time than it would take for us to strangle her.
Anyway, during hour two I started to get tired of the waiting. And hungry. I was hungry. Plus, Artistic boy informed me that he had a girlfriend. I wasn't too upset though, since by then he'd already revealed he was a smoker (intolerable!).
Anyway, eventually the pilots "rebooted the plane like a computer and the [thingy mi-bobber] reset itself." The flight then went off without a hitch.
Today, featured our meal reservations being cancelled due to a power outage. My parents and I ended up eating at IHOP which made me a little cross. Then I convinced my parents to go see "Pride and Prejudice." My mom really enjoyed it, but Dad seemed to be in pain. Either way, I was happy. I've found a new hottie. His name is Simon Woods and he was an amusing Mr. Bingley.
Mom and I also went to see Harry Potter's 9:45 showing in the IMAX tonight. I only had to nudge her awake 5 times.
Also, my magical writing power returned today and I'm now done with the first part of my story. Le sigh. I still have loads of homework to do though.
